The great egg drop

For this task we were split into groups of four and given an egg six straws and a roll of masking tape. The task was to prevent the egg from breaking from being dropped  at different points of the stairs outside. our first idea was to make a case for the egg layering it out of the straws, but then we thought that the from the hight  that we dropping it from that the straws wouldn't stop the egg breaking.The best idea we thought of and used was to make a parachute  out of the tape ans a structure out of the straws and a cradle for the egg. In the end the chute slowed it down but in the end the egg still broke.
